Employee Appreciation BBQ Events & National Health Center Week Recognition

Each summer, our organization proudly hosts a series of 11 Employee Appreciation BBQ Events across various locations, bringing together staff from all departments to celebrate their dedication, teamwork, and contributions to our mission. These gatherings serve not only as a thank-you to our employees, but also as a platform for fostering community, connection, and organizational pride.

These events are held throughout the summer and culminate during National Health Center Week, aligning our celebrations with a national movement to highlight the value of community health centers and the individuals who make them thrive.

Key features of our BBQ events include:

Employee Recognition: At each event, we honor staff reaching milestone work anniversaries in 5-year increments, starting at five years. These individuals receive commemorative gifts as a token of appreciation for their loyalty and service.

Employee of the Year Announcements: Each department selects a Department Employee of the Year, announced and recognized at the BBQs. During National Health Center Week, we hold a special recognition ceremony to announce the Overall Employees of the Year across three key categories: Clinical, Non-Clinical, and Provider.

Inclusive Celebrations: With multiple locations, our BBQs ensure that all employees—regardless of site—have the opportunity to participate, celebrate, and feel valued.
