During National Health Center Week, Minnesota Community Care plans to host a staff appreciation BBQ and picnic at our East Side location. This event will provide an opportunity for employees from across the organization to come together and celebrate the vital work they do to serve our patients and communities every day. The gathering will include food, recognition, and team-building activities that promote employee well-being, engagement, and morale.

Here's a warmer, more heartfelt version that feels genuine and human:

Over the past year, our team has shown incredible dedication, flexibility, and heart while continuing to deliver quality care through some very difficult challenges—including the strain of Operation Metro Surge. Even with higher patient needs, constant changes, and days that stretched us thin, our staff kept showing up for each other and for the patients who count on us. They’ve truly gone above and beyond.
That’s why we want to host a meaningful appreciation event during National Health Center Week. It’s a chance to pause, say thank you, and celebrate the people who make our health center what it is. Many of our staff have been carrying a heavy load, and we want to give them a moment to feel truly valued and connected.

Having $500 to help cover food and basic event supplies so everyone can participate without worry would be a huge lift off our shoulders. Like so many FQHCs right now, we’re operating on tight margins and doing our best to stretch every dollar. This small boost would go a long way toward creating an inclusive gathering where our team can recharge and remember why we do this work.
