TVHC is hosting a Family Health Fiesta in August 2026 for National Health Center Week. This community health fair will focus on connecting families to accessible and affordable health care and wraparound social determinants of health support. The 2026 health fair will draw upon a network of community partners to connect families with resources to meet their health and social support needs. We are especially committed to meeting the current moment of many families losing access to Medi-Cal and CalFresh by conducting targeted outreach to people who were previously enrolled in Medi-Cal and CalFresh but have disenrolled. We will refer these community members and other attendees to our Eligibility team, which will table at the event, for enrollment support. TVHC and our community partners will also share resources that are accessible to all members of our Southern Alameda community, regardless of immigration or employment status.

The agenda for the event is as follows:
- Remarks and welcome from TVHC leadership (bilingual English and Spanish).
- Invite participants to browse the community health resource fair, featuring TVHC and community partner resources, including the TVHC Eligibility team to conduct on-the-spot Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and WIC screenings and refer attendees for follow-up enrollment appointments as appropriate.
- At regular intervals throughout the fair, we will do a raffle drawing (free for all attendees) for the various prizes donated by community and corporate partners to support children and families.
- Throughout the Fiesta, there will be a Farmers Market-style food distribution station organized in partnership with the Alameda County Community Food Bank to enhance food security and nutrition access in the community.
- We will also distribute family basic needs supplies such as family hygiene supplies and clothing (exact items available dependent upon donations).
