Each year we observe National Health Center Week by hosting Circle of Care Awards for our staff. Keynote speaker Angela Kennecke detailed the story of Emily's Hope, a charity she founded after her daughter died from a Fentanyl overdose. Through education, advocacy and medical solutions, Kennecke works to prevent further deaths. During the ceremony, winners in our Team on a Mission and Keeping Communities Well awards were announced. These honor outstanding achievement by our clinical and support teams. This year's winners of the Keeping Communities Well Award was our Huron clinic and Plankinton Dental clinic. Our Learning and Development Team won the Keeping Communities Well award for promoting an increased focus on training front desk staff in our dental and medical clinics. Employee longevity milestones totaling 215 years of service to Horizon and the Community Health Center mission were also acknowledged.
