In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week and National Health Center Week – Population Focus Day, Affinia Healthcare is hosting Breastfeeding is Sweet – Ice Cream Social to recognize, encourage, and celebrate breastfeeding and pregnant individuals within our community.

This event provides an opportunity to honor families on their breastfeeding journeys while creating a welcoming environment where parents and caregivers can receive education, encouragement, and support. Through community connection and shared resources, we aim to strengthen awareness of the importance of breastfeeding, improve access to support services, and celebrate the families who are prioritizing the health and wellness of their children.

Breastfeeding is an important part of maternal and child health, providing benefits for infants, parents, and families. These events are designed to promote breastfeeding awareness, provide education, reduce barriers to support, and celebrate families through meaningful community engagement.

The event will include breastfeeding education, health and wellness resources, community partner engagement, family-friendly activities, giveaways, raffles, and opportunities for WIC families to connect with organizations that support their health and well-being.
