This is our seventh annual Back-to-School Drive-Through event. We recently, last year, moved our location site to East Liverpool because of the need for students in that area to receive much-needed free school supplies. We previously had held the event in Lisbon, Ohio, our county seat. Each year we make up 400-500 plus student cinch-sacks with school supplies and hand those out to anyone who drives through or stops by our tables to peruse the items. Last year, we were able to have our CAA Health, Behavioral Health and Dental Centers' Mobile Unit on site for this event! We serve all of Columbiana County, a large county, and we especially hope to provide as many back-to-school supplies as possible to children of our communities. Some of our providers and employees also assist with this event in handing out cinch sacks to parents and children. We would love to continue to grow this tradition of our Back-to-School Drive-Through event. We even have enlisted the support of our other CAA programs, such as our Head Start, our Mobility Management which oversees all of our public transportation for our county, our Administrative offices and our Community Services program. Each of these programs takes part in our back-to-school event by handing out school items as well. No one goes away empty-handed, and everyone who attends is served!
